Six years after the last entry in the series, the original texting adventure is back in the form of Lifeline: Beside You in Time ($3.99) from 3 Minute Games. Ever since the original Lifeline hit, we’ve seen it inspire many games, and I think many people gave up on the series ever returning. More than half a decade later, the original developers are back after buying the rights to the series from the original publisher to continue the story in new games. Lifeline: Beside You in Time is a direct sequel to the last Taylor game, and this one can still be enjoyed without prior knowledge of the series.
The team is also planning to update the game engine for other games following this release. If you’ve been waiting for a new Lifeline game, you can now buy Lifeline: Beside You in Time on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. We have a new forum thread for Lifeline: Beside You in Time here if you’d like to discuss the game with our forum regulars. It still feels weird in a good way to see a new Lifeline premium game, and I can’t wait to see what the developers do next. Have you played prior games in the series and will you be buying Lifeline: Beside You in Time?
